Statute overview

About this statute

The text sets out the Nemkonto scheme: citizens and businesses must register account information for public payments, and certain public actors have powers over the system. Borgeren eller virksomheden may ask a public authority to designate, change, or delete their NemKonto when contacting an authority they apply to or receive payment from. The section allows certain foreign Nemkonto amounts to be deducted from related transfer costs, and says specific accounts can only be registered through the public authority that pays the benefit. Section 13 says public authorities must use the Nemkonto system for payments, keep related information updated, and follow controls for updating specific accounts. Public authorities must pay their own system adaptation and connection costs for joining the Nemkonto system, and the Finance Minister and certain municipalities/regions may grant exemptions.
