About this statute

This provision announces the law on Digital Post, says it applies to digital communication in Digital Post between public senders and connected persons or legal entities, and gives public senders a right to send communications there. Finansministeren fastsætter ikrafttrædelsestidspunktet, anviser Digital Post, og Digitaliseringsstyrelsen skal sikre drift og kan udpege andre til opgaverne. Digitaliseringsstyrelsen may process certain personal data for Digital Post. Some persons and legal entities must be connected to Digital Post unless exempt, and connected users may allow others to read messages. Section 10 defines “communication” and lets the Finance Minister set rules for when specified public bodies and certain other institutions can use Digital Post as public senders. Section 10 sets exceptions and rules for Digital Post, including when messages count as received, who may be allowed to run viewing clients, and several ministerial rule-making powers.
