About this statute

Reglerne forbyder store indendørs og udendørs forsamlinger og giver politiet mulighed for at gribe ind ved smitterisiko. Police may enforce compliance, issue stay prohibitions for certain public places, and require signage assistance; some places and events are exempt, and breaches are punishable by fine. A person who breaches a prohibition under the epidemic law may be punished with a fine or imprisonment of up to 6 months, unless a higher penalty applies under other law. Companies and other legal persons may also incur criminal liability.
