Statute overview

About this statute

This provision says which seed-related businesses must register, keep records, report for crop control, and follow seed-party size limits. Registered businesses or departments must get TystofteFonden’s approval before authorized sampling starts and must follow several quality, reporting, sealing, labeling, analysis, and certification steps. Plantenyhedsnævnet may certify seed lots only when the stated conditions are met; registered businesses must follow plant-pass requirements, and seed lots may not be traded before certification. Section 43 allows certain seed lots to be traded before test results are available, but rejected lots may not be sold as sowing seed. Section 18 sets conditions for registered businesses to sell, trade, label, report, and package certain seed lots, including special rules for genetically modified seed and environmental seed mixtures.
