Statute overview

About this statute

This provision says the toy regulation implements EU toy safety rules and defines key terms; it also requires manufacturers to ensure toys placed on the market meet the safety requirements and to prepare technical documentation and conformity assessment. Fabrikanten, importøren og distributøren skal opfylde en række sikkerheds-, mærknings-, dokumentations- og oplysningskrav for legetøjsprodukter. Distributører of toy products must act quickly if they know or should know a toy is non-compliant, and they must notify the control authority and relevant traders when the toy poses a risk. CE-mærket must be affixed when conformity assessment documentation shows the safety requirements in § 26 and Annex 2 are met. Toy products must carry CE marking and manufacturers must do the required safety and conformity checks before placing them on the market.
