Statute overview

About this statute

Vehicle inspection businesses may operate only if they have a permit from Færdselsstyrelsen, and they may not repair vehicles commercially. A person must hold a valid driving licence for the vehicle categories covered by the permit. The technically responsible person must not be a minor or be under guardianship/co-guardianship, but the sentence is cut off. The company must have a fixed place of business in the country, must not be in bankruptcy or liquidation, must have full control of the equipment referred to in § 20 for the relevant eye-testing categories, and must use an approved quality management system and have an agreement with an approved control body. Virksomheden skal have ansvarsforsikring, gøre forsikringsoplysninger tilgængelige for kunderne og have elektronisk kommunikationsudstyr til indberetning af syns- og omsynsoplysninger. Virksomhedens synsmedarbejdere skal være uddannede mekanikere, have et gyldigt kørekort til de køretøjsarter, de må syne, og have gennemført en Færdselsstyrelsen-godkendt uddannelse.
