Statute overview

About this statute

The regulation requires doctors and certain health actors to report specified infectious diseases and related outbreaks to the health authorities, with some reports due immediately or within 24 hours. Doctors, laboratories, and treatment sites must report certain disease cases and related information to the named Danish health authorities, sometimes promptly or monthly, and some laboratory screening results are excluded. The requesting doctor must report in writing cases of hepatitis B, HIV, and syphilis found during screening of pregnant women. The first doctor treating the patient must report confirmed gonorrhea cases linked to screening of living sperm donors in writing.
