Statute overview

About this statute

This provision says only authorised companies may carry out vehicle re-inspections, and it defines the types of companies and vehicles covered. The technical responsible person must hold a valid driving licence for the vehicle class or classes covered by the permit, and must not be incapacitated under guardianship law. Virksomheden must have a fixed place of business in Denmark, stay out of bankruptcy/liquidation, keep required equipment, join an approved repair-control scheme, disclose the control body’s name, maintain valid liability insurance, and have IT equipment that can communicate with the Danish Road Directorate’s system. Vehicle-inspection businesses must meet staff, conduct, debt, application, reporting, display, and ongoing compliance requirements to get and keep the permit. Omsynsvirksomheder must keep current rules available, work in line with the rules, report digitally, and comply with inspection and control requirements; Færdselsstyrelsen has broad supervisory and approval powers.
