Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble says the regulation reproduces selected provisions from EU Regulation 2017/625 for practical reasons and does not affect that regulation’s direct applicability in Denmark. Companies are allocated shared control costs in proportion to their direct control costs, and the resulting control payment is billed monthly. A company covered by § 3 must notify the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration in time if it wants its authorisation withdrawn or reduces operations in a way that may lead to layoffs in the control staff. Section 3 sets multiple fees for Fødevarestyrelsen’s control, approvals, registrations, certifications and related inspections, including fees for transport authorisations. Section 35 sets reporting, payment, and fee rules, including digital reporting via virk.dk, a 30-day payment deadline after invoicing, and several specific fees for inspections, approvals, and import controls.
