Statute overview

About this statute

This provision publishes the repatriation law and sets out who it covers, who advises on repatriation, and how municipal help and reintegration support are handled. Section 8 sets commencement dates: § 7, no. 2 takes effect on 1 July 2023, and the law generally takes effect on 1 May 2024, subject to subsection 2. Some earlier provisions do not apply to certain residence-permit applications or cases filed or referred before the law takes effect; the prior rules continue to apply to those cases.
