Statute overview

About this statute

This provision publishes the Criminal Code and sets out general rules on criminal liability, jurisdiction, attempts, participation, legal persons, penalties, and several exemptions. Parole can be made conditional on participation in a correctional program and on not committing an offence during the probation period. Reglerne opstiller vilkår for prøveløsladelse, bl.a. tilsyn, samfundstjeneste, programdeltagelse og kontaktforbud i visse sager. Section 57 sets conditions for parole and community-service conditions, including limits on how long community-service conditions may last and who may decide parole after 12 years of a life sentence. Section 180 sets conditions for parole, conditional sentences, and community service, including program participation, probation conditions, and limits on probation periods and fines.
