Statute overview

About this statute

Rules on conditionality and social conditionality apply to certain subsidy applicants and linked companies, and they must comply with GLM requirements, legal management requirements, and social conditionality for the whole calendar year. Section 3 limits fertiliser use and several farming practices on specified fields, including bans on stubble burning, certain activity within 3-metre buffer strips, ploughing during a seasonal period on erosion-zone land, and a soil-cover requirement. Some farm areas must have soil cover after harvest within the stated seasonal deadlines, subject to listed exceptions. The same crop category may not be grown on the same rotation area for more than three consecutive calendar years. This section defines crop-category timing and several farm/environment rules, including registration duties, exemptions, and prohibitions on changing certain landscape features.
