Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble says the regulation implements parts of two Euratom directives, supplements the radiation protection rules and transport-specific dangerous goods rules, and names the Danish Health Authority as the competent authority for class 7 dangerous goods transport in Denmark. Reglerne apply to packing and transport of radioactive material, with permits, approvals, notices, storage controls, and documentation duties. Radioactive material transported as high-risk goods must be protected by security and preparedness measures, including approved plans and a designated security responsible person. Companies that breach the listed sections can be fined; some companies must apply to the Sundhedsstyrelsen by 1 July 2026, and the regulation starts on 1 January 2026. Notice is required if the content exceeds 3000 A 1, 3000 A 2, or 1,000 TBq.
