Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble sets up a subsidy scheme for projects that develop rural areas, small islands, and maritime communities, and gives Plan- og Landdistriktsstyrelsen power to decide on grants. This section sets criteria for awarding grants, including for research projects and community grocery store projects, and sets several minimum requirements for those grocery-store projects. The section sets criteria for a project to be considered eligible, including local anchoring, community engagement, reasonable budget-to-effect balance, support for the local grocery store’s role, job creation or preservation, and long-term effects. For projects on small islands, co-financing of at least the requested amount must be in place by the time of the final approval decision if the applicant is an individual or profit-making business. Reglerne siger bl.a., at ansøgning og oplysninger skal indgives digitalt, og at projektet skal gennemføres inden 2 år efter betinget tilsagn. Projects receiving this grant must report within 2 months after the grant period ends. The authority may extend the reporting deadline in special cases.
