Statute overview

About this statute

This provision says the law covers registration, approval, and supervision of independent assurance providers and verifiers for sustainability reporting. Certain companies must notify Erhvervsstyrelsen before starting work on issuing statements under § 1, stk. 2. Erhvervsstyrelsen may approve a person as a verifier if the listed qualification and suitability conditions are met. Verifiers must also take continuing education and be able to document compliance. A person who has deposited their approval may be approved again on request if the listed conditions are met and the person does not owe at least DKK 100,000 in overdue public debt. A verifier’s approval can lapse or be revoked if required conditions are no longer met, if requested insurance documentation is not received within 4 weeks, or if the verifier has overdue public debt of at least 100,000 kr. or refuses quality-control rules.
