Statute overview

About this statute

This provision states the purpose of preparatory basic education and sets who is entitled to admission or related teaching, including certain under-25s, some over-25s, and a ban on enrollment for people staying unlawfully in Denmark. Section 33 lets the education minister set detailed rules on teaching, support, evaluation, conduct, meals, and summer activities, and it requires institutions and students to follow several support and participation rules. The minister may temporarily waive chapters 3 and 4 for pilot and development work, as long as students’ opportunities and rights are not reduced. The text also says teaching is free and necessary materials must be provided without charge, but the sentence is cut off.
