المحاكم المدنية لا تنظر في المسائل المالية المرتبطة بالأحوال الشخصية مثل المهر أو النفقة أو بدل الخلع، إلا في حالات محددة. وإذا كانت المسألة المتنازع عليها تؤثر في تحديد التزام مالي بين الزوجين، تُوقف المحكمة المدنية الفصل فيها حتى تقررها جهة الأحوال الشخصية المختصة.
