Statute overview

About this statute

If the requested party asks for extra documents or information to decide an extradition request, the requesting party must provide them within the time the requested party sets. If the detained person still cannot be properly supported by the documents/information, or they are not received in time, the person must be released. If a Party receives two or more extradition requests for the same person, it must choose which requesting State will receive the person.
