This decree-law takes effect on the same day it is published in the Official State Gazette, and immediate notice must be given to the Cortes. El Ministerio de Defensa puede dictar normas complementarias para aplicar este real decreto-ley. The economic effects of this Real Decreto-ley are not retroactive and apply from its publication date. Certain military and public-order personnel may apply for benefits under this Real Decreto-ley, but people convicted of an offence or sanctioned with dismissal/loss of employment for specified unrelated facts may not apply.
