Statute overview

About this statute

The competent institution must count insurance periods completed under the other Contracting Party’s law, when needed, as if they were completed under the first Party’s law. Workers who meet the required conditions may receive in-kind and cash benefits, and their family members may also receive in-kind benefits. Eligible workers may receive benefits in the country where they live, and certain family members may receive the same benefits if they are not entitled under their own local law.
