Statute overview

About this statute

Certain people designated by the promoting commission may become special certifiers if they swear or promise before the provincial electoral boards and meet the stated requirements. Las Juntas Electorales Provinciales must examine received signature sheets, invalidate noncompliant ones, certify the number of signatures, send that certification to the Mesa de la Asamblea, and destroy the sheets they hold. If a popular legislative initiative’s bill proposal has been published in the Assembly’s official bulletin, dissolution of the Extremadura Assembly does not make it lapse; after the Assembly is constituted, parliamentary processing resumes and the Plenary must decide on taking it into consideration within the maximum second working month of sessions.
