Statute overview

About this statute

El Consejo Social de la Universidad de León canaliza la participación de la समाजiedad en la universidad y actúa con plena independencia en el ejercicio de sus competencias. The election, replacement, and term of office for these Social Council members must follow the University of León Statute. If the President is absent, vacant, or ill, a substitute acts temporarily: first the formally delegated Counselor, and if there is none, the oldest Counselor among those representing social interests. A Social Council member cannot hold management positions in companies contracting with the university, cannot own more than 10% of their capital, and a representative member cannot also be part of the university community except in the stated cases. The Plenum may propose removing a councillor to the authority that appointed them if listed attendance, abandonment, or incompatibility conditions are met.
