Statute overview

About this statute

Esta disposición regula los estudios de impacto ambiental y su aplicación a ciertos proyectos en la Comunidad Valenciana. Projects covered by the previous article must have an environmental impact study and assessment, and public projects must include that study’s cost in the project budget. The Administration must provide documents or information it holds when it considers them necessary for an Environmental Impact Study, either on its own initiative or at the project holder’s request. If a project requires an authorization procedure, the decision-making body must submit the environmental impact assessment to public information and other reports. If those steps are not provided for, the environmental authority must submit it to public information. If the project may affect another autonomous community, the Consell must notify that community of the assessment’s content. Before approving the work, installation, or activity, the competent body must send the file to the environmental body. Any disagreements are decided by Council decree within three months, and the impact statement is made public.
