Statute overview

About this statute

If certain intermediaries take part in a transfer transaction, they must send the required notice to the exchange governing bodies, and it must be sent within seven business days after it is prepared. The stock exchange member that forwarded the communication must issue a certificate of that communication when an interested party asks for it. In some cases, a public notary or the relevant entity also has to certify it, and stock exchange managing bodies may certify receipt of the communication. When certain share-transfer thresholds are met, the stock-market governing bodies must publish the transfers, first individually and also as a global list, with limited timing and content rules. When a sale of listed securities occurs while trading is suspended, the relevant Bolsa member must report it, and the exchange bodies must then publish the operation in their price bulletins. Transfers of suspended exchange-traded securities other than by sale must follow Chapter II of this Royal Decree.
