El Secretario general del organismo es nombrado por el consejero competente y debe realizar varias tareas administrativas bajo la dirección del Presidente. The ICIA’s advisory bodies are the Board of Directors and the Scientific Commission. El Consejo de Dirección del ICIA debe asesorar, informar y proponer medidas sobre varios asuntos internos y de gestión. The governing board is made up of the Organism’s President, the scientific director, the ICIA secretary general, and representatives of operating units and ICIA staff. The Scientific Commission is chaired by the Scientific Director, and its members are appointed by the collective of scientific and technical staff under the Institute’s regulations.
