This provision creates the Premios Canarias to recognize work and effort by people or entities with a continuing, significant contribution to the Canary Islands. El Presidente del Gobierno de Canarias concede los premios, conforme a la propuesta de los jurados designados. Each jury must have seven members, and the President of the Government of the Canary Islands must formally appoint all members before 30 November of the previous year.
