Statute overview

About this statute

This article says which inventions and research staff are covered by this Royal Decree. Public research organizations own inventions made by their research staff when those inventions arise from activities within the specific scope of their functions. Research staff who make an invention must notify the organization immediately; the organization must review it within three months and may have to file a patent application.
