Statute overview

About this statute

Las personas físicas o jurídicas que quieran construir o modificar un establecimiento turístico, o ejercer una actividad turística, pueden pedir una consulta previa sobre su clasificación turística; también pueden hacerlo las entidades locales de Navarra en sus licencias. Organizers and retailers of package travel must set up and keep an insolvency guarantee before starting their activity. Providers of linked travel services must set up a guarantee to refund travelers’ payments if an included travel service is not performed because of insolvency. Certain tourism businesses in Navarra may carry out complementary brokerage activities, and businesses arranging package travel or linked travel services must also comply with related obligations in other articles and guarantee-notification rules. Non-tourism companies may carry out package-travel or linked-travel services as a supplementary activity, but must follow the rules in Articles 27, 27 bis and 27 ter and the guarantee-notification obligation.
