Statute overview

About this statute

La Administración del Principado de Asturias may carry out development cooperation directly or through NGOs, international bodies, or public/private entities, using technical assistance, grants, humanitarian action, and social education. The Council of Government may authorize cooperation agreements for development, solidarity, and human rights programs, with conditions that keep them non-profit. Technical assistance is to be provided through technology transfer, material resources and equipment, technical advice, and training of human resources. Grants are to be awarded for projects in beneficiary countries and for education and awareness programs for development in Asturias.
