Statute overview

About this statute

La Agencia Gallega de Emergencias tiene a su cargo varias funciones de gestión, coordinación, análisis de riesgos y apoyo en materia de protección civil y emergencias. This provision lists the governing and administrative bodies of the Galician Emergency Agency. This provision assigns public civil protection and emergency-response responsibilities among Galicia’s regional, provincial, and local bodies. The Consello de la Xunta is the top body for directing and coordinating civil protection and emergency management in Galicia, and it has several related approval and emergency powers. The head of the Xunta may command emergency intervention services, promote cooperation for emergency prevention and management, seek support from the armed and security forces through the Government Delegate, and expressly delegate some of these powers.
