Statute overview

About this statute

The Centre’s opinion studies must be delivered to the responsible department councillor within 20 business days after fieldwork ends, then sent to the regional President and the Parliament, which must pass them to parliamentary groups. Departments and related public bodies may carry out opinion studies for government purposes, but must follow reporting, proposal, and submission rules to the Centro de Estudios de Opinión. The Centre’s resources come from budget allocations, returns from its property and rights, income from fees and public prices, service provision, and any other legally due resource. El director o directora debe elaborar el anteproyecto de presupuesto del Centro de Estudios de Opinión, y la propuesta de presupuesto debe ser aprobada por el Consejo Rector. The Center of Opinion Studies’ assets include assigned assets and rights and its own assets and rights. Assigned assets keep their original legal status; assignment does not transfer public domain ownership or change their designation.
