Statute overview

About this statute

This article sets the age-rating categories used for films and other audiovisual works, and says the “especially recommended for children” label can be combined with certain other ratings when appropriate. Age-rating publicity and information duties may be met either by stating the age group or by using the corresponding pictogram. This article creates the category «Especialmente recomendada para el fomento de la igualdad de género», which the ICAA may assign when appropriate during classification. Esta Orden fija las categorías de edad para calificar películas y obras audiovisuales, permite usar pictogramas informativos y crea una categoría especial sobre igualdad de género. The Director general of the Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales is authorized to approve the informative pictograms referred to in article 2 by Resolution.
