Statute overview

About this statute

The providers of audiovisual communication services may set their editorial direction and organize content, and they must give competent authorities access to documentation, facilities, and equipment when needed to comply with current rules. Audiovisual service providers have a right to access electronic communications services to broadcast channels and programme catalogues, subject to technical limits and sectoral telecom/electronic communications rules. Audiovisual service providers may adopt self-regulation codes, and if they do, they must notify the relevant audiovisual authorities and consumer body. Private audiovisual providers may create dedicated TV advertising/telemarketing channels, and they may broadcast self-promotion programs and related ads; these ads must be identifiable, and TV self-promotion ads are capped at 5 minutes per clock hour. Los prestadores de comunicación audiovisual pueden emitir publicidad, pero la televisión tiene límites y reglas de separación, volumen, identificación y momentos de interrupción.
