Statute overview

About this statute

Se aprueba la norma de calidad para ciertos productos de confitería, pastelería, bollería y repostería elaborados en España, y su aplicación no afecta a las normas sanitarias ni a otras disposiciones específicas aplicables. This article partially replaces specified parts of the Spanish Food Code with the definitions in the quality standard in this royal decree. This decree approves a quality standard for confectionery, pastry, bakery, and confectionery products made in Spain, with definitions, a mutual-recognition exception, a transition rule for old labels, and repeal of a prior decree. These regulation requirements do not apply to certain confectionery, pastry, bakery, and similar products lawfully made or marketed under other specifications in EU Member States, EFTA/EEA states, or states with a customs association agreement with the EU. This provision repeals Royal Decree 2419/1978 once this royal decree enters into force.
