Statute overview

About this statute

The provision makes service on the General Assembly honorary and unpaid, except for attendance and travel allowances, requires certain general councillors to hand over income above the maximum limits, and lets the General Assembly set remuneration for other governing-body functions. La Asamblea General es el órgano supremo de decisión y gobierno de las Cajas de Ahorros, and its members have rights to attend meetings, vote, and receive information. This article lists several serious infringements for savings banks and their governing bodies. Minor infringements include failures by savings banks to comply with mandatory rules in this law and applicable ordering or discipline rules, as long as they are not classified as serious or very serious. Serious and very serious infringements prescribe after 5 years, and minor infringements after 2 years.
