Statute overview

About this statute

This article gives the Basque public administration powers to oversee anti-doping enforcement, inspections, sanctions, information, and coordination. This article sets out who sits on the Consultative Council and how COVAUT members are appointed, says COVAUT has functional autonomy, and provides that members and participants are not paid but may recover expenses and daily allowances. Los deportistas sujetos a esta ley deben someterse a controles de dopaje, y ciertos terceros deben facilitar datos o información relacionada con esos controles. The provision sets anti-doping control safeguards: who may conduct controls, when controls may not be done, athletes’ information and participation rights, and how refusals and sample testing are treated. Regulates record-keeping and reporting for therapeutic-use authorizations in anti-doping matters.
