Ley 5/2015, de 27 de abril, de fomento de la financiación empresarial.

Credit institutions must give an SME at least three months’ notice before not renewing, ending, or reducing its financing flow by 35% or more, unless a listed exception applies.

Certain mergers, demergers, and full or partial transfers of assets and liabilities involving a credit financial establishment need authorization from the Minister of Economy and Competitiveness. Certain credit institutions must obtain a specific authorisation before combining their business with payment services or e-money issuance. El Banco de España supervisa a los establecimientos financieros de crédito, y estos deben mantener una cantidad mínima de activos líquidos. Certain credit institutions must provide financial statements to the Bank of Spain, publish them, have annual accounts audited, align their financial year with the calendar year, and send the audit report to the Bank of Spain. Financial credit establishments are subject to the sanctioning regime in Title IV of Law 10/2014, with any regulatory adaptations for their specific legal regime.
