| Official Journal of the European Union | EN Series L ---|---|--- * * * | 2023/2142 | 17.10.2023 ---|---|--- COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING DECISION (EU) 2023/2142 of 13 October 2023 amending Implementing Decisions (EU) 2021/60, (EU) 2021/61 and (EU) 2021/65, as regard the reference material provider (notified under document C(2023) 6730) (Only the Dutch text is authentic) (Text with EEA relevance) THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION, Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Having regard to Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 September 2003 on genetically modified food and feed (1), and in particular Articles 9(2) and 21(2) thereof, Whereas: (1) | Bayer CropScience LP, United States, represented in the Union by Bayer Agriculture BV, Belgium, is the authorisation holder for the placing on the market, under Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003, of genetically modified maize containing single event MIR 162 (unique identifier SYN-IR162-4), covered by Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/60 (2), Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/61 (3) and Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/65 (4). ---|--- (2) | Annexes to Implementing Decisions (EU) 2021/60, (EU) 2021/61 and (EU) 2021/65 contain indication of the provider of reference materials and links to the webpages, where the reference materials for detection method are available. ---|--- (3) | By letter dated 17 October 2022, Bayer Agriculture BV, on behalf of Bayer CropScience LP, informed the Commission about a change of the provider of the reference material of genetically modified maize MIR162, therefore, Implementing Decisions (EU) 2021/60, (EU) 2021/61 and (EU) 2021/65 should be amended in order to update the indication as regards website links for access to the respective reference materials. ---|--- (4) | The change of the provider of the reference material of genetically modified maize MIR162 should be entered in the Community register of genetically modified food and feed referred to in Article 28(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003. ---|--- (5) | The proposed amendments to the authorisation decisions are purely administrative in nature and do not entail a new assessment of the products concerned. ---|--- (6) | The measures provided for in this Decision are in accordance with the opinion of the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed, ---|--- HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 Amendment of Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/60 In the Annex, point (d)(3) is replaced by the following: ‘(3) | Reference Material: AOCS 0512 (for MON-87427-7) and AOCS 0906 (for MON-89Ø34-3) are accessible via the American Oil Chemists Society at https://www.aocs.org/crm and ERM®-BF415 (for MON-ØØ6Ø3-6) and ERM®-BF446 (for SYN-IR162-4) are accessible via the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission at https://crm.jrc.ec.europa.eu/.’ ---|--- Article 2 Amendment of Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/61 In the Annex, point (d)(3) is replaced by the following: ‘(3) | Reference Material: AOCS 0512 (for MON-87427-7), AOCS 0709 (for MON-8746Ø-4) and AOCS 0906 (for MON-89Ø34-3) are accessible via the American Oil Chemists Society at https://www.aocs.org/crm and ERM®-BF415 (for MON-ØØ6Ø3-6) and ERM®-BF446 (for SYN-IR162-4) are accessible via the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission at https://crm.jrc.ec.europa.eu/.’ ---|--- Article 3 Amendment of Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/65 In the Annex, point (d)(3) is replaced by the following: ‘(3) | Reference Material: AOCS 0512 (for MON-87427-7), AOCS 0906 (for MON-89Ø34-3) and AOCS 0215 (for MON-87411-9) are accessible via the American Oil Chemists Society at https://www.aocs.org/crm and ERM®-BF446 (for SYN-IR162-4) is accessible via the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission at https://crm.jrc.ec.europa.eu/.’ ---|--- Article 4 Addressee This Decision is addressed to Bayer Agriculture BV, Scheldelaan 460, 2040 Antwerp, Belgium.
