Statute overview

About this statute

This part sets the rules for European political parties and foundations, including who can register, what the key terms mean, and the Authority’s role. This provision sets governance, transparency, registration, and funding-related rules for European political parties and European political foundations. European political parties and foundations can receive Union funding only if they apply and meet ongoing reporting, donation, and control rules; certain donations and uses of funds are prohibited. The European Parliament must publish the Article 45 report by 29 June 2026. The repealed regulation is replaced by this Regulation’s references, and this Regulation enters into force on the twentieth day after publication.
