This Regulation limits mercury trade, use, storage, waste handling, and certain mercury-added products, and gives Member States and the Commission specific implementation tasks. The Commission must notify delegated acts to the European Parliament and the Council, use a committee for certain adopting tasks, and must not adopt a draft implementing act if the committee gives no opinion. The Regulation is repealed from 1 January 2018 and applies from 1 January 2018, with one Annex III point applying from 11 December 2017.
