Under Article 49(1) of that Regulation, Chapter III of Regulation (EC) No 110/2008 on geographical indications was repealed with effect from 8 June 2019. ---|--- (3) | After concluding that the application complied with Regulation (EC) No 110/2008, the Commission published the main specifications of the technical file in the Official Journal of the European Union (3) as required by Article 17(6) of that Regulation, in accordance with the first subparagraph of Article 50(4) of Regulation (EU) 2019/787. ---|--- (4) | No notice of opposition has been received by the Commission under Article 27(1) of Regulation (EU) 2019/787. ---|--- (5) | The indication ‘Norsk Akevitt’/‘Norsk Aquavit’/‘Norsk Akvavit’/‘Norwegian Aquavit’ should therefore be registered as a geographical indication, ---|--- HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION: Article 1 The geographical indication ‘Norsk Akevitt’/‘Norsk Aquavit’/‘Norsk Akvavit’/‘Norwegian Aquavit’ is hereby registered. This Regulation grants the name ‘Norsk Akevitt’/‘Norsk Aquavit’/‘Norsk Akvavit’/‘Norwegian Aquavit’ the protection referred to in Article 21 of Regulation (EU) 2019/787 in accordance with Article 30(4) of that Regulation. Article 2 This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
