In view of the strong demand recorded in recent weeks and the market situation, new quantities should be made available and the German intervention agency should be authorised to increase by 500 000 tonnes the quantity put out to tender for resale on the Spanish market. ---|--- (3) | Regulation (EC) No 1572/2005 should be amended accordingly. ---|--- (4) | The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Cereals, ---|--- HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION: Article 1 Article 1(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1572/2005 is hereby replaced by the following: ‘1. The German intervention agency shall open a standing invitation to tender for the sale on the internal Community market of 1 000 000 tonnes of rye held by it.’ Article 2 This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
