(2) The Portuguese version should therefore be corrected. (3) Given that Regulation (EC) No 40/2004 is applicable from 8 March 2003 until 31 December 2004, this Regulation should apply for the same period except with regard to exports for which refunds have already been paid. (4) The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Sugar, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION: Article 1 Concerns only the Portuguese version. Article 2 This Regulation shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. It shall apply until 31 December 2004 to exports effected after 8 March 2003, with the exception of exports for which refunds have already been paid at the date of its entry into force. This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States. Done at Brussels, 26 April 2004.
