| Official Journal of the European Union | EN L series ---|---|--- * * * | 2024/1971 | 16.7.2024 ---|---|--- COUNCIL IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) 2024/1971 of 15 July 2024 implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1529 concerning restrictive measures in view of Iran’s military support to Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and to armed groups and entities in the Middle East and the Red Sea region THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Having regard to Council Regulation (EU) 2023/1529 of 20 July 2023 concerning restrictive measures in view of Iran’s military support to Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and to armed groups and entities in the Middle East and the Red Sea region (1), and in particular Article 7, paragraphs (3) and (4) thereof, Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Whereas: (1) | On 20 July 2023, the Council adopted Regulation (EU) 2023/1529. ---|--- (2) | On the basis of a review of Decision (CFSP) 2023/1532 (2), the Council has decided that the restrictive measures set out therein should be renewed until 27 July 2025. ---|--- (3) | The Council has concluded that the entries concerning four persons and two entities designated in Annex III to Regulation (EU) 2023/1529 should be updated. ---|--- (4) | Regulation (EU) 2023/1529 should therefore be amended accordingly, ---|--- HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION: Article 1 Annex III to Regulation (EU) 2023/1529 is amended in accordance with the Annex to this Regulation. Article 2 This Regulation shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States. Done at Brussels, 15 July 2024.
