Having regard to the decision of the Bureau of the European Parliament of 23 March 2011 entitled ‘Rules concerning the ban on smoking on European Parliament’s premises’(1),

| Official Journal of the European Union | EN C series ---|---|--- * * * | C/2026/2616 | 5.5.2026 ---|---|--- DECISION OF THE QUAESTORS OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT of 29 April 2026 amending the Annex to the decision of the Bureau of the European Parliament of 23 March 2011 entitled ‘Rules concerning the ban on smoking on European Parliament’s premises’ (C/2026/2616) THE QUAESTORS OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT, Having regard to Rule 28 of Parliament's Rules of Procedure, Having regard to the decision of the Bureau of the European Parliament of 23 March 2011 entitled ‘Rules concerning the ban on smoking on European Parliament’s premises’ (1), Whereas: (1) | By means of a decision of 23 March 2011, the Bureau of the European Parliament adopted Rules concerning the ban on smoking on European Parliament’s premises’ (‘the Rules’), forbidding smoking on all premises of the European Parliament, with the only exception of specially designated smoking areas listed in the Annex to that decision, and empowering the Quaestors of the European Parliament to decide on any subsequent modification of that Annex. ---|--- (2) | By means of a decision of 15 July 2024, the Bureau of the European Parliament approved a technical update of the Rules. ---|--- (3) | At their meetings of 8 October 2025 and of 29 April 2026, the Quaestors of the European Parliament decided to modify the list of specially designated smoking areas listed in the Annex to the Rules, which should therefore be amended accordingly, ---|--- HAVE ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 The Annex to the decision of the Bureau of the European Parliament of 23 March 2011 entitled ‘Rules concerning the ban on smoking on European Parliament’s premises’ is replaced by the Annex to this decision.
