| Official Journal of the European Union | EN Series L ---|---|--- * * * | 2023/2176 | 17.10.2023 ---|---|--- COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING DECISION (EU) 2023/2176 of 13 October 2023 amending Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1388 as regard the reference material provider (notified under document C(2023) 6734) (Only the Dutch and French texts are authentic) (Text with EEA relevance) THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION, Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Having regard to Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 September 2003 on genetically modified food and feed (1), and in particular Article 9(2) and 21(2) thereof, Whereas: (1) | Corteva Agriscience LLC, United States, represented in the Union by Corteva Agriscience Belgium BV, is the authorisation holder for the placing on the market, under Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003, of genetically modified maize containing single event MIR 162 (unique identifier SYN-IR162-4), covered by Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1388 (2). ---|--- (2) | Annex to Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1388 contains indication of the provider of reference materials and link to the webpage, where the reference material for detection method is available. ---|--- (3) | By letter dated 11 October 2022, Corteva Agriscience Belgium BV, on behalf of Corteva Agriscience LLC, informed the Commission about a change of the provider of the reference material of genetically modified maize MIR162. Therefore, the Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1388 should be amended in order to update the indication as regards website link for access to the certified reference material. ---|--- (4) | The change of the provider of the reference material of genetically modified maize MIR162 should be entered in the Community register of genetically modified food and feed referred to in Article 28(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003. ---|--- (5) | The proposed amendments to the authorisation decisions are purely administrative in nature and do not entail a new assessment of the products concerned. ---|--- (6) | The measures provided for in this Decision are in accordance with the opinion of the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed, ---|--- HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 Amendment of Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1388 In the Annex, point (d)(3) is replaced by the following: ‘(3) | Reference Material: ERM®-BF418 (for DAS-Ø15Ø7), ERM®-BF413 (for MON-ØØ81Ø-6), ERM®-BF415 (for MON-ØØ6Ø3-6) and ERM®-BF446 (for SYN-IR162-4) are accessible via the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission at https://crm.jrc.ec.europa.eu/.’ ---|--- Article 2 Addressee This Decision is addressed to Corteva Agriscience LLC, 9330 Zionsville Road Indianapolis, Indiana 46268-1054, United States, represented in the Union by Corteva Agriscience Belgium BV, Rue Montoyer 25, 1000 Brussels, Belgium.
