**Avis juridique important** _|_ # 32003R1420 **Commission Regulation (EC) No 1420/2003 of 8 August 2003 suspending Regulation (EC) No 1066/2003 opening a standing invitation to tender for sorghum held by the French intervention agency** _ Official Journal L 202 , 09/08/2003 P. 0005 - 0005 _ Commission Regulation (EC) No 1420/2003 of 8 August 2003 suspending Regulation (EC) No 1066/2003 opening a standing invitation to tender for sorghum held by the French intervention agency THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community, Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 1766/92 of 30 June 1992 on the common organisation of the markets in cereals(1), as last amended by Regulation (EC) No 1104/2003(2), and in particular Article 5 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2131/93(3), as last amended by Regulation (EC) No 1630/2000(4), lays down the procedures and conditions for the sale of cereals held by the intervention agencies. (2) Commission Regulation (EC) No 1066/2003(5) opens a standing invitation to tender for sorghum held by the French intervention agency. (3) For economic reasons, that invitation to tender should be suspended. (4) The Management Committee for Cereals has not delivered an opinion within the period set by its chairman, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION: Article 1 The tendering procedure provided for in Regulation (EC) No 1066/2003 is hereby suspended. Article 2 This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States. Done at Brussels, 8 August 2003.
