The requested harmonised standards were to address the essential requirements set out in Article 4 of Directive 2014/34/EU and in Annex II to that Directive. ---|--- (3) | On the basis of the request, CEN revised the following harmonised standard, the reference of which is published by Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1668 (4): EN 1953:2013 – Atomising and spraying equipment for coating materials – Safety requirements. This resulted in the adoption of the harmonised standard EN 1953:2025 – Application equipment for coating materials – Safety requirements. ---|--- (4) | On the basis of the request, CEN revised the following harmonised standard, the reference of which is published by Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1668: EN 12621:2006+A1:2010 – Machinery for the supply and circulation of coating materials under pressure – Safety requirements. This resulted in the adoption of the harmonised standard EN 12621:2025 – Machinery for supply and circulation of liquid coating materials – Safety requirements. ---|--- (5) | On the basis of the request, CEN revised and amended the following harmonised standard, the reference of which is published by Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1668: EN 14373:2021 – Explosion suppression systems. This resulted in the adoption of harmonised standard EN 14373:2021/A1:2025 – Explosion suppression systems. ---|--- (6) | On the basis of the request, CEN revised the following harmonised standard, the reference of which is published by Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1668: EN 50176:2009 – Stationary electrostatic application equipment for ignitable liquid coating material – Safety requirements. This resulted in the adoption of harmonised standard EN 50176:2025 – Automatic electrostatic application system for ignitable liquid coating materials – Safety requirements. ---|--- (7) | The Commission, together with CEN, has assessed whether the standards EN 1953:2025, EN 12621:2025, EN 14373:2021/A1:2025 and EN 50176:2025 comply with the request. ---|--- (8) | The standards EN 1953:2025, EN 12621:2025, EN 14373:2021/A1:2025 and EN 50176:2025 satisfy the requirements they aim to cover, and which are set out in Annex II to Directive 2014/34/EU. It is therefore appropriate to publish the references of those standards in the Official Journal of the European Union. ---|--- (9) | Annex I to Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1668 provides the references of harmonised standards conferring a presumption of conformity with Directive 2014/34/EU.
