Statute overview

About this statute

This regulation sets procedures for selecting, training, deploying, supporting, insuring, and paying EU Aid Volunteers. Sending and hosting organisations must jointly plan security and evacuation measures, assess risks, and keep volunteers informed; the sending organisation must also handle insurance, training, and some pre-deployment checks. The applicant sending organisation must provide proof of compliance and verification materials, and the Commission may require more evidence during certification. If suspension or termination is proposed, the Commission must notify the organisation and give it 45 calendar days to respond.
