| Official Journal of the European Union | EN L series ---|---|--- * * * | 2024/1456 | 29.5.2024 ---|---|--- COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING DECISION (EU) 2024/1456 of 27 May 2024 designating a Union testing facility for eco-design and energy labelling in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 of the European Parliament and of the Council THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION, Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Having regard to Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on market surveillance and compliance of products and amending Directive 2004/42/EC and Regulations (EC) No 765/2008 and (EU) No 305/2011 (1), and in particular Article 21(2), first subparagraph, thereof, Whereas: (1) | Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1267 (2) provides that public testing facilities of Member States are to be designated as Union testing facilities following a call for expression of interest. ---|--- (2) | The Commission launched the call for expression of interest GRO/IMA/23/2711/13161 for two categories: construction products, and eco-design and energy labelling. ---|--- (3) | The HBLFA Francisco Josephinum applied in the context of the call for expression of interest GRO/IMA/23/2711/13161 for the selection as Union testing facility for eco-design and energy labelling. ---|--- (4) | An evaluation of the application received was carried out pursuant to the applicable rules and the conditions set out in the call for expression of interest. ---|--- (5) | Based on the results of the evaluation, HBLFA Francisco Josephinum should be designated as a Union testing facility for eco-design and energy labelling, ---|--- HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 Union testing facility for eco-design and energy labelling HBLFA Francisco Josephinum, Weinzierl 1, 3250 Wieselburg, Austria, is hereby designated as a Union testing facility for eco-design and energy labelling. Article 2 Review of the designation The designation as a Union testing facility referred to in Article 1 of this Decision shall be reviewed in accordance with Article 2 of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1267 by 18 June 2029, and every 5 years thereafter. Article 3 Entry into force This Decision shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. Done at Brussels, 27 May 2024.
